DAY 1: KIA to Arusha City
Welcome to Tanzania!

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our guide will greet you and assist with your transfer to the Gran Melia Hotel in Arusha for an overnight stay.

Relax and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.

DAY 2: Arusha to Kigoma
After an early breakfast, fly from Arusha to Kigoma. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic boat ride on Lake Tanganyika to Gombe Stream National Park, where you’ll stay overnight at Mbali Mbali Gombe Lodge.

Prepare for the thrilling chimpanzee encounters ahead!

DAY 3: Gombe National Park
After breakfast, embark on chimpanzee tracking in Gombe National Park.

Climb to James Peak for stunning views and return for lunch at the lodge.

Spend the afternoon at leisure, and enjoy dinner and overnight at the lodge, reflecting on the incredible chimpanzee interactions.

DAY 4: Gombe to Mahale National Park
After breakfast, take a 2.5-hour drive followed by a boat ride to Mahale National Park, home to about 900 wild chimpanzees.

Guided hikes through the mountains will lead you to chimpanzee groups, providing ample time for observation.

Dinner and overnight at Mbali Mbali Mahale Lodge.

DAY 5: Full Day in Mahale National Park
Spend a full day in Mahale, trekking to find and observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

This unique experience allows for intimate interactions with these incredible creatures, making memories that will last a lifetime.

Return to the lodge for meals and overnight stay.

DAY 6: Mahale to Kigoma to Arusha Airport
After your final breakfast, journey back to Kigoma via boat and car, taking in the stunning scenery.
