Morning: Departure from Moshi

8:00 AM: Depart from your hotel in Moshi in a comfortable private vehicle. Enjoy the scenic drive up the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro to Materuni village.

8:30 AM: Arrive at Materuni village and meet your local guide.

Mid-Morning: Hike to Materuni Waterfalls

8:45 AM – 10:30 AM: Begin a guided hike through beautiful terrain, passing banana and coffee plantations. The 40-minute trek provides insights into local flora and fauna, as well as Chagga culture.

At the Waterfalls

10:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Arrive at Materuni Waterfalls, which cascades over 80 meters. Enjoy the breathtaking views and take a refreshing swim in the natural pool at the base of the falls.

Coffee Tour

11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Participate in a traditional coffee tour. Learn about coffee cultivation from bean to cup, engage in roasting and grinding, and enjoy tasting freshly brewed coffee prepared in the Chagga way.

Lunch

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Enjoy a picnic lunch featuring local cuisine while soaking in the beautiful surroundings.

Afternoon: Cultural Experience

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Participate in cultural activities such as traditional dances or tasting local banana beer, gaining deeper insights into Chagga traditions.

Return to Moshi

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Begin your journey back to Moshi.

4:00 PM: Arrive back at your hotel in Moshi.
